Jul 22, 2020 · NIST selected 26 algorithms to advance to the second round for more analysis. This report describes the evaluation and selection process, based on public feedback and internal review, of the second-round candidates.
Jan 3, 2017 · The rationale for choosing the Round 3 Candidates is described in NIST IR 8309, Status Report on the Second Round of the NIST Post-Quantum Cryptography Standardization Process
Benchmarks of the Round 3 NIST's Post Quantum Crypto Contest of Digital Signatures in Process of Standardization (CRYSTALS-DILITHIUM, FALCON, GeMSS, PICNIC, RAINBOW, SPHINCS+)
The purpose of this document is to present GeMSS : a Great Multivariate Signature Scheme. As suggested by its name, GeMSS is a multivariate-based [48, 62, 25, 8, 58, 55] signature scheme pro-ducing small signatures. It has a fast verification process, and a medium/large public-key.
This paper presents also MQsoft, an e cient library which permits to implement HFE-based multivariate schemes submitted to the NIST PQC process such as GeMSS, Gui and DualModeMS.
NIST Status Report on Round-2 Candidates “The drawbacks of the scheme include extremely large public keys, difficulty implementing the algorithm on low-end devices, and signing times ranging from slow to very slow.
